About Us
For as long as I can remember my mom, Pat, has had a cup of coffee in hand and a Boston at her side. She grew up with sled dogs in Montana and learned how to care for puppies at a young age. When she attended the University of Idaho, she met my dad and was introduced to Snuffles, a Boston Terrier. She was hooked, and has been raising Boston Terriers since the 70’s.

Hi, I’m Tara, and Patter Pat Paws (PPP) was founded by my mom, Pat. We are a small-scale Boston Terrier breeder, typically having one to two litters a year. While we don’t show our Bostons, we carefully select breeding dogs from show-quality lines. We love Boston Terriers for their affectionate, loyal nature and their versatility as both active companions and cuddly family pets. Our goal as breeders is to provide quality Boston Terriers that will thrive in loving families.
Having grown up around Boston Terriers, I can’t imagine life without them. My sister and I were lucky to play with puppies growing up, and while it’s always hard to say goodbye, knowing they’re going to good homes makes it easier. Our Bostons are lifelong family members, and we usually only have one to two breeding females at a time, ensuring we can provide them with the care and love they deserve.
We’re located in three areas: Kamiah, ID, where Yuma, Sunny, Rio, and Arrow live with my mom; Lewiston, ID, where Apollo and Athena live with my sister, Ember; and Ellensburg, WA, where Jazz and Creature live with me. In Ellensburg, our dogs enjoy eight acres of open fields, while in Idaho, they explore 25 acres of fields and forests.
